How Effective is Mobile Marketing

Mobile Marketing is the practice of interactively engaging and communicating with audiences using mobile devices. Mobile Marketing mostly refers to one of the two categories of interest.  First, the more conventional definition refers to the method of marketing using moving billboards and road shows. Second, and relatively a new definition describes marketing using a mobile device via SMS marketing. Mobile Marketing allows companies to reach potential customers without being limited by demographic issues and location barriers.

Billboards and road shows have been used over the years by the companies as the means to promote their product. SMS Marketing has been on a rise ever since the SMS (Short Message Service) became popular in the early 2000s. Firms would collect numbers of the potential customers and send off bulk SMS to them resulting in easy and cheap marketing. The best part of the SMS marketing is that the customers may read the messages at their convenience.
